Topic: Do we need to CPO?

WRONG ajju!

I received my approval email/letter back in June.

I received my CPO email yesterday.

You CANNOT predict the order of these emails. Do a search and you will see they come in every possible combination.

Anyway, any one of them is enough to confirm approval so don't worry about it too much.........

Topic: I-551 stamp not needed for AP travellers & PR card can be mailed to another country

My lawyer confirmed to me that this is the case - everything is invalidated because you no longer need it.

She said that this is a known issue with the whole process that your existing visa is immediately cancelled when your I-485 is approved and you are then in a 'dead zone' until you receive the card or get a stamp.

Topic: I-551 stamp not needed for AP travellers & PR card can be mailed to another country

talked to my lawyer last week on the same topic and she insisted I went for a stamp (which I did the next day and it took me all of 1 minute to get it)

I think you got bad information from whomever you talked to.

you need a stamp.

Topic: Question to people that know about I-551 temporary stamps

I got an I-551 last week. It's a red ink stamp that goes into a blank page in the passport. Takes all of 60 seconds to get issued.
