Topic: In India - HSMP approval Letter Received-move to Tier 1 for 3 yrs-apply after 1st April 08 or march

Hi,

I had called up vfs with a similar query.

They have informed that the visa you will be given will depend on the work permit you have.
If you have a HSMP approval, even if you apply in April or later, you will be given a 2 years visa issued under the current rules.

The new 3 yrs visa will be applicable only to people who apply under the new points based system after 1st April.

Hope this helps.

Topic: Verification during HSMP approval phase

Hi,

Any idea whether the Home Office runs any verification (sends documents to India/ calls employer/ calls income tax department) during the HSMP approval process?
