Topic: Approved H1-B case re-opened 6 months after GC approval?
I got my GC last year (Aug 2008). Last Firday, i got a CRIS email regarding my approved H1-B saying that case has been re-opened.
Any thoughts why this happended? |

Topic: CA Driver license renewal with Green card
I am a green card holder (approved in Aug 08) and recently had to renew my California Driver License. I was hoping that it would be granted for 10 yrs (validity of the I-551 card).
But it was granted only till Aug 2010. Not sure how they came up with this date.
Any thoughts??? |

There is no charge for replacement card.
And it took us like 20 mins for the entire process.
They do not even ask for your exisitng SSN card and it remains with you. All they ask for is your GC to enter info into their system and then returned to you.
The new card should be reecived within 10 days. |

My EAD was also approved on 08/09, followed by 485 approval on 08/11. so do not worry. |
