Topic: Do we need an unrestricted SSN to start work with another employer after GC

It can wait forever since the number is the same. You can start a new job without the new SSN card without any problems. But it is good to have it done to update the records and "it may be good to have an unrestricted SSN Card for other reasons."

MrVulcan, what exactly are the benefits of having a unrestricted SSN card?I didn't find my answer by reading other queries in this forum...could you please enlighten me?Thanks.
