I-485 Received Date: 08 Jun 2007 Transferred to NBC: 03 Jun 2008
Interview Notice Issued: 14 Aug 2008 Interview Notice Received: 19 Aug 2008
Interview Date: 01 Oct 2008 Interview Location: Philadelphia, PA
Interview Status: cleared Nationality: United Kingdom
Interview Experience: Very simple interview with female officer Dawson. All family invited in at first appointment time. Sworn in together. Went methodically through checking Passport, date of last entry, I-485 form biographical info then questions on Page 3. Asked to confirm signature on form. Asked for all I-94's and stapled each to each of our files. I noticed on the front of my son's file there was an inter office memo, which I assume documented the fact that he was protected under CSPA from age out.

Once she had done the above for the whole family, she asked me (primary applicant) information about my company, aksed if I had a new EVL which I handed to her. She then asked what my company did and what my qualificatiosn were, but did not ask for any documentation. She did look at file while I was explaining but made no notes.

In the end she said I will jut check that your date is okay. I muttered I hope so as it is OCtober 1 and she looked up and smiled. She checked her screen, scanned the barcode on my I-485 form. She said thank you you will hear from us when we have finished processing your case. My daughter then said "Does that mean we have our green cards" She smiled and said you should hear from us in around 30 days.

Callowhill office was quiet when we arrived with no more than 5 groups in front of us, although we did have to wait until 8:25 (appt 8:00). We were done and back in the car by 9:10am.

Now the frustrating wait to see if we get email in next couple of days or we get stuck again.
Notes: You will never believe it. Asleep at 2:35am EDT, my 21 yr old son bursts in to tell us that he made one last check of USCIS site before he was going to bed. He saw that the cases had a date of 10/1/08 and thought, oh right a soft LUD. He clicked to see

Mr Arizona...I posted to your other thread.

mmoje. learn to use this site. If you click on someone's name above their post, you will see all their details. Interestingly when I do that for you, there is minimal information. If you want to take from the community....give to the community. Post your case details and people will be more tolerant of your questions.

foampile....now that's the million dollar question. No good reason. Read my previous posts and you will see we did not meet any criteria normally associated with interviews. My attorney had a good theory. Field officers in local offices deal with 98% family/marriage cases. His theory was that they are made to process a number of EB cases a year to make sure they are kept current with requirements and skills associated. Crappy reason to get selected but it does make sense. and if there are not enough DUI/documentation/fingerprint screw ups they select 'lucky' candidates to make up the number required.

Topic: Finally approved!

No post result forum I know of an to be honest not sure how often I will be visiting from now on :-)

Our paperwork came through pretty fast. I would give it 2 weeks unless you need to travel then of course you can reasonably use a infopass to get the stamp. Otherwise there is absolutely no need to get the stamp in passport. In fact most offices now resist giving it to you because you get your cards so quick. Seriously 14 days for me was very acceptable after 5.5 years!!!.

Mr HR said if we need anything we'll let you know (I9 wise) they have copies of all correspondence from Attorney, so my view is they are informed of my new status :-) The I9 is their responsibility not ours beyond providing proof.

We do intend to go to Social Security office in next few weeks to get the shackles taken off our cards :-)

Today all 4 cards arrived in mail. Missed a day with Columbus day yesterday so I guess they could have been delivered if it was not a holiday. I don't care....10 years of freedom starts now :-) Next step N400 in 4.5 years!!

Topic: CRIS is out of order

I would agree CRIS emails seem to not be working. We noticed our CPO status change at 2:40 EDT today. Here we are now at 9:40pm EDT and not an email all day. I even tried resetting the Yes to email flag on the USCIS website for our cases. Just makes me wonder when the change actually happened for us :-)

You will never believe it. Asleep at 2:35am EDT, my 21 yr old son bursts in to tell us that he made one last check of USCIS site before he was going to bed. He saw that the cases had a date of 10/1/08 and thought, oh right a soft LUD. He clicked to see the deatils and was shocked to see Card Production Ordered. We rushed downstairs and I checked blackberry but no CRIS Email, logged on with my PC and sure enough there all 4 cases updated with CPO. Finally this thing is over.

Thank you friends and have faith your journey will end. Literally, 6 years since our labor was appllied for we are complete.

Yep. No reason for being selected. Never arrested., married 24 years, never changed employers, never moved address.

During the interview I was waiting for the question that might hint why we had been selected for interview and it never ever came! All the questions were really just the normal identity checking type things.

No LUD's on our cases, so here's hoping for tomorrow :-)

I prepared everything in letter and some extra's suggested by my attorney including W2's tax returns and copies of everything. Arrived Philadelphia at 7:40am through security screening. Appt at 8:00am. Called at 8:25am.

She then asked what my company did and what my qualificatiosn were, but did not ask for any documentation. She did look at file while I was explaining but made no notes.

She did not ask for copies of anything else despite the huge file I had. I offered copies of passports and she said, no it's okay I have those in the file.

In the end she said I will jut check that your date is okay. I muttered I hope so as it is October 1 and she looked up and smiled. She checked her screen, scanned the barcode on my I-485 form.
