I have the same situation. Iam also tying to get my wife. My lawyer told me as soon as my i 485 got approved by uscis, I can file i 824 for my wife for her to get a gc even if the visa is not current.

Yes, my lawyer has received my biometrics copy from USCIS, but USCIS also mailed me my own copy.

I was checking on my receipt number online almost everyday but it was not showing in their system, but when I tried it today I was surprised that it says Card Production Ordered! I guess Nebraska is really working to approve all EAD's. I hope the card comes next week.
