Topic: Finally green

as long as it is employment based, country quota is applied. he might have an pending rfe or such

That means visa number might have been allocated some time early AUG. I am trying to guess: Is there any hope for EB2 (I&C) since we are getting closer to last week of sep.

Good point, Mahesh. There could be one more small wave of lucky EB2 approvals if USCIS sees that the visa numbers are left from EB1 and EB2-ROW.

That great. Congrats, man. Seems like there are few approvals happening for Indians and Chinese applicants in Sept. Did you do anything special in last few weeks/months? Did you get any RFE?

Topic: Infopass @ Boston USCIS office

Mine was early in the morning too (8:15AM). I can't think of any pointers, except that be prepared on what you want to ask. I wanted to ask about NC, FP and pre-adjudication and officer assignment for my application. You can also ask if the IO can tell you what he/she sees on various screens of your application. Also guard does not allow you in the main room more than 15 minutes before the appointment, so no point in reaching more than 30 minutes before the appointment.

On the side note - If you are driving into the city, be careful about the street parking. There are some weird rules about the metered parking in Boston. My car got towed ;-).

Topic: Infopass @ Boston USCIS office

Got the appointment date last week. Boston office calendar seemed pretty open, even today there were only few souls at the infopass office.
