Topic: Using EAD while F1........

I believe the consesus here is that if you use your 485 EAD you lose your F1 status. you can still study and work with your 485 EAD under an AOS status until it is approved.
If your 485 is denied, you will have to leave the country though.
The only status you can might be able to transfer to is H1B is it is dual status (or L1, but you have to work with the company outside of the US before you arrive, so probably not relevant in your case)

Topic: Gurus, please help: AP usage when exiting US/ entering US

note that I-94 is returned to airline rep not government officer.

she used the non-citizens line, but I heard that other people do use the PM/citizen line - don't know what it should be.

My expreince is from EWR airport (Newark, NJ)

Topic: Gurus, please help: AP usage when exiting US/ entering US

here is my wife's experience:

My wife just returned to the US after travelling on AP. She was on F status before.

Upon exiting she submitted her old I-94 from the last time she entered the country.

When returning, she submitted the AP and was escorted to a waiting room. She waited for about 2 hours for it to be stamped (!!!?!) and that's it. welcome home.

Topic: Nebraska Processing

This is just a grunt off. My case is pending in Nebraska, not moving at all. Frustrating to see all these texas cases zip by on the express train when we are still waiting for the station in Nebraska.
weren't they supposed to share cases to balance the load?

edit:
40 min later... just got the email "document mailed..."
