Topic: Has any one of the NOV 2007 applicants recvd docs update reque

Hi Bee 2 Canada,

Here are the answers :
1.CHC London is very slow at the moment, those who applied in Sept/Oct 2007 are getting their doc. request letters now so you should wait for another couple of months before you receive anything.
2.Through CIC's website only you can check your status, there are no other means, you can always send them case specific enquiries but if there is no development in your case, they'll again say the same thing which is "be patient and wait"
3.If you have been separated it won't affect your application unless if you claimed any points on your partner's behalf, like his/her education/relative in canada. You better send a case specific enquiry to CIC London and let them know about it.
4.I believe it was a simplified process that you applied under and you have lost the copy of application forms, that is not a problem as long as you remember all the dates exactly as you mentioned in your application. As such, you won't need a copy of your application forms in future.
5.You can't do that.

I hope it answers all your questions.

Topic: Employment Reference in a Email

I very much doubt that, you can certainly do that but it'll depend on V/O how he/she looks at it. They clearly mention that they require original letters signed and stamped by employers so....

Ya I hope everyone gets their letters soon, funny enough i received my document update request letter twice, one from Canada and other from London Office with 2 weeks difference. Lucky enough that both letters are stating to send my documents to Canada and not London and London has a huge backlog of applications to be cleared. They reckon in the letter that my application will be fast processed. So keeping my fingers crossed for that.

Topic: No Points for blood relative!:-(

That's right Shahida, you have to prove relationship by sending brith/marriage certificates where the father's name is same. That way they'll be able to provide the points for blood relation. Rest assured. I have also claimed points for that as my brotehrs and parents are there in Canada. I still havem't received any letter to send documents but if i do, i believe i should be easier for me to prove the relationship., i hope.

Topic: Qorax/Camila or anyone knows about Doc. Req Letters for 2007.

Hi All,

I applied in Sept 2007 (London) and still waiting for Doc. Update Letter whereas in trackitt and in other forums, some Sept and Oct 2007 applicants have recived their update letters.

I emailed CHC and they said to wait.

I was wondering if anyone who has received anymore letter or any senior who has heard any news about it ??

I'll appreciate your responses.

Topic: 60 Days !

I doesn't necessarily means that they'll only look into your file once the time has been elapsed for doc. submission. I believe that they start processing it as soon as they get a chance to. You have to be very patient as it's only a month yet, it can take upto 5 months or sometimes even more before you receive your Medical Req.

Topic: Sept 2007 Applicants London

I emailed CIC to ask the same question and i received following

"Thank you for your enquiry.

The application was received on 20/09/2007.

The letter acknowledging receipt of the application for permanent residence explained that the processing times for the skilled worker category is 42-48 months. Your application is still within our standard processing times.

When an application is ready to be assessed by an immigration officer, we will sent a letter giving you 90 days to prepare and submit updated documentation in support of the application. Note that it is advisable to start gathering supporting documents before you receive this request to ensure there will be no delays to the submission.

You are not required to advise us of any changes to personal circumstances until this letter has been received, unless it relates to a change in contact details or appointment/cancellation of a paid representative.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post to the applicant to the mailing address on file. It is important therefore that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We are unable to provide any further information at this time.

Yours sincerely,

Client Service Unit (LIB)"

Topic: Old Track applications are considering by CHC?

Hi Arun,
You applied under old rules, so old time frame will be applicable on your case, it's usuallu 4-5 years from CHC ND, I very much doubt if they are looking at any cases from old systems as of yet for 2008.
