I went to Infopass, There is no one waiting, so one old lady who is very polite assisted me. She asked me my priority date(EB2-Apr2003-India). She pulled one big file with priority date printouts and checked the processing times to convince herself.
She asked me for my A# number, i have given her my EAD and she started entering the A# into the system and she started saying
- My Fingerprints are current and cleared
- My Namecheck is cleared recently
- She said, they(USCIS) is working on your case now
- She said but not sure that the numbers are availble for EB2-India until end of September.
She also asked me whether i made any Service Requests, Infact i did a Service Request in Mid July and no response till that time and i told her the same.
I left the USCIS office and i checked my email on my mobile to see a email response for my Service Request, not sure whether it is triggered by some action due to IO from Infopass.
The response says
"The status of this service request is:
Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 90 days of the date of this letter.
If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved, please complete a Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form. If you do not have this form, you can download it from our website or you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. If you move, please call us with your new address information as soon as your move is complete. If you have already called us and given us this information, you do not need to call again."

Topic: CALLED NSC - NOT GOOD
Just called NSC for case status, the lady is telling me that she see the status as what we see in online case status check. Not sure it is true but it looks like their intention is not to give any updates? Anyone else any better experiences with NSC???
My Priority date is April 2003, I filed my I-485 on June12, 2007 - EB2. |
Topic: Called NSC(04/02) and got some new info
I just called NSC and she told me the following:
1) She told me that there are 50,000+cases pending that they are working on, not sure what the number mean...
2) She told me that she doesn't have access to my Name Check status, directed me to contact FBI for status, which means nothing.
3) She told me that my case status is pending, waiting to be touched by IO.
It seems no matter how many times we call NSC it will not effect the IO performance who are dedicated to work on our cases not answering our calls.
Not much useful info though... |
