Topic: Card Received

I have received my physical card on last Friday. Received it in less than a week since the 485 was approved. Only concern at this time that spouse's status has not been changed since it said "welcoming to the new permanent resident". Both applications were approved at the same time, not sure why one is not making further progress.

The following two emails I have received:
12/12 - Approval Notice Sent
12/13 - Welcoming to the Permanent Resident.

Did not receive any CPO email yet. How long does it take to receive the physical card after those emails?

Topic: Processing Date and Priority Date

dustinthewind,

Priority date is more important than processing date. I have received approval notice although processing date was not current. So you really need to look at the prioty date for processing your application.

Congrats!
I also need to know how long it takes to get the plastic card. I have looked at other posts and I see this time varies. I have seen some people got it in a week where some other people got it a month later. So I guess there is no rule when we can receive this. Only can hope for the best.

Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the card. I am going out of country on DEC-27, 2008. Should I get the card before this date? If not, what my options are?

Topic: Approval notice sent

Hi All,

I received the following CRIS email yesterday at 7:45 PM, although I saw it this morning. Both mine and my wife's status say the following:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On December 12, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I have not received any RFE or anything. I took an infopass appointment on November 6, 2008 just to know the status. I am not sure that appointment did anything or not. I was told I have to wait since my processing dates was not current.

Thank you to all. Trackitt was my best friend which provided me hope and taught me patience. Although I was silent, I read each and every trackitt reviews everyday. I hope and pray for all who are still waiting that your day will come soon. I love you guys.
