Topic: Help needed in filling the I130/I485 application

Your husband will have to file I-130. you will file I-485 (and EAD/ AP if you need it ). Instruction are pretty much steight forward and should be very easy for you to understand as you are some what familiar with GC process already.

Topic: May I ask a silly Question?

I think it's for the ppl who want to do some thing using their GC e.g. travel or get a drivers license etc an can't wait or don't want to wait till they get the card in mail.... and yes for mental satisfaction which you can't put a price tag on :)

Topic: Is it time for an SR yet

Hi Tictactoe,

I got my interview letter last week for the first week of December. I called 1800# three times and an Infopass once. At Infopass, local office put in a service request for NBC about my case. Probably, an Infopass would help in your case if you didn't get your interview letter yet.

Looks like the processing times are off from what's published on the website. During my last call to USCIS, they stated that my case would have been outside of processing time on Jan 5 2009 and then I could file for an SR. And processing times for San Jose DO is Feb 03 2008 as of August 31. My notice date is late March 2008.

Hope you'll get your letter soon. Good luck !

Congratulations on you interview letter and good luck for the interview.
What I understood is I can still create an SR even if I'm not out of the processing time (No need to wait until May 2009 ), but I would need to do a info pass for that.

When I go to infopass website and try to get a infopass appointment it asks me to pick one of these options,

"Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment. "

I am not sure which one to choose ...
