Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

Hi- thanks everyone for their effort to make this happen. I am finishing up my 9th year of H1 and my priority date is Nov 2010. My current H1 is expiring on Nov 2015. My wife is on H4 since 2008 and has BSN degree from US and finishing her MSN in fall 2015. My question is if we apply for EAD in May, will she only get EAD valid until my H1 expire in Nov 2015? My company will extend my H1 but won't apply until June. Please respond if you know the answer to this question. Thanks

Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

Sorry guys I just started following this thread. I am in a similar situation. On H1B with I-140 approved with priority date Nov 2010. My wife finished her BSN (Bachelor in Nursing) from the US in 2008 and worked on OPT for 9 months. She cleared her NCLEX and has valid CA RN license but cant work because she is on H4. Hospitals wont do H1B because you don't need 4 year BSN to be an RN. She is sitting home since 2008 even when US has shortage of nurses. How fare it is that someone from Philippines can come with education from Philippines and work as RN in the US but another person with degree from US cant work here? Not to mention that she had BS and MS in plant physiology from India too. She finally started doing her MS in Nursing and should be done in a year. She is going to be unemployed with two Bachelors and two Masters.
