H-1B Revalidation case: Visa stamped   (0 comments
User: trs80 U.S. Consulate: Dominican Republic: Santo Domingo
Appointment Date: 24 May 2007 Studied in U.S.? no
Company Size: 100-499 Status: visa stamped
Questions Asked: Why I change employer before the approval?
Issues faced: Apparently, The Consular officer doesn't know about the H1B visa portability and I have to explain her about the AC21.
She went to checked with another person and when come back she said that is OK.

Also, I made an appointment for the same day for my wife H4 visa and my father, he got his B1/B2 visa for 10 years with the same consular officer.

She told me to come back next day to get the 3 passports.
Tips: There is a Courtyard Marriott hotel next to the US Consulate.

You can make your appointment in any US Consulate by calling to 1-877-804-5402. You don't need a PIN you can pay with your credit card.

Topic: Update on H1B Status after 485 Approval - Please Respond Urgent

I don't think this may be a problem.
Just send them copy of your documentation about your new status. Then they can show it to the consular officer in the interview.

Good luck!

Ps: please post your cases. Contribute with trackitt!

Topic: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.

it looks like you did not change address with USCIS. change of address is not only AR11 but also you have to submit change of address for each pending Receipt number. EAD card, green card both goes to your address. rest of the approval notices etc goes to Laywer if G28 was filed other wise they will come to employer address.

The attorney got the original approval notice but he explain me that USCIS send a courtesy copy to the employer.

I tried to update the address but the customer service agent told me that only the attorney or the petitioner (employer) can do that. That make sense because the I-140 belong to the employer.

Topic: Any real examples -- Change job within 6 months after receiving green card

I was thinking

What is my wife apply for her citizenship first?
She will be asked about why her husband left her sponsor employer?

Then If she get it, I can apply later.
What do you think?

Same LUD here at 23:16 (gmt-4)

Current Status: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.

This is weird because the immigration lawyer received the approval notice. He send me a PDF copy via email.

Any idea. What this LUD mean?

Topic: When Does Online Statues Change?

As you can see in my cases. I also concurrent filed my applications. And my I-765 (EAD) / I-131 (AP) display the current status fee collect even when we didn't pay any for these forms.

Topic: Am i in status?

If you cant answer to my questions. Please move on. No need to poke fun at someone's life.

H1Bh1b,
I didn't mean to offend you.

1. I Think you should do is post you case in your profile. (Click Add My Case).
2. Before start a discussion you should search for discussions abouts similar case.
If you find something read it and if you need more detail post your questions there.
If you didn't find anything you need to make your question only in one forum. You should select the forum subject more close to your case. It not ethical to post duplicate posts even in different forums.
Many people here forgot the H1B and are dealing with I-485/EAD/AP

3. Make your question clear. I just understand one or two question.

Q2 If you are outside USA. You can't go out of status.
Q3 No. You will need to apply for a fresh H1
Q4 Yes. You may include her in the form I-129 when apply for your new H1B.
