Topic: H4EAD Question

I had submitted H1B extension + H4 Extension + H4 EAD Extension under prremium processing in 2016 and all of them got approved simultaneously under PP....From what I understand only H1B extension can be officially submitted for premium processing and USCIS does not have to process other applications as premium processing even if grouped together but in general experience 9/10 times they process all files together as premium processing..

The only difference in my case and your's is you are applying for H1 to H4 COS where I was just applying for H4 extension so that's the only distinguishing factor

Topic: H4 EAD Revocation rule

H4 EAD date is based on H4 renewal which in turn is tied to H1B renewal..so the earliest you can apply for H1B extension and concurrently file for subsequent H4/H4 EAD renewals is 180 days

Correct..say i have H1/H4 EAD expiring in July 1 2018 I can apply for a extension for H1B/H4 EAD 180 days in advance which is Jan 1 2018..If say I apply using premium processing and my H1B/H4 EAD is approved by end of Jan..I will now have an expiration date for H1B/H4 EAD which is of July 1 2021...which is more than 3 years from the "current date"...this eg is similar to ((friendfrmindia)) which the above poster:- ((urayo)) was not able to understand..

You know that we can apply for EAD extension upto 180 days in advance of its expiration date right? So assuming you apply when there are 6 months left and it is approved soon enough you can have an expiration date on EAD which is more than 3 years..get it?

If employer denied premium conversion you can offer to cover the costs for premium processing...I am sure employer will have no problem with that...it's one and the same...if you have to shell out money for traveling to India out of your own pocket why not just pay $1200 yourself and get it processed premium? All the applications get processed premium including H4 and H4 EAD extension...just a thought...perhaps could have tried it little sooner...now if you are saying your EAD expires tomorrow I don't know how all this will play...in any case Good Luck!!

H1B, H4 and H4 EAD Extension all applied concurrently via premium processing at CSC on 11/04...All cases approved together on 11/10..Good Luck to everyone!

Congrats! I would say you should have your card in hand by Monday or Tuesday..
In my case-Card ordered/Card Approved Status-Monday......Approval Notice Sent -Wednesday...Card Mailed- Thursday
Approval Notice Received: Friday and finally..Card Received: Saturday

So the whole process from case approved to card received took about a week

Hi Folks,
Just received an email stating "New Card is being Produced"
USCIS Received Date: 06/09/2015
Service Center: California
Receipt # WAC1590395XXX

Just curious how long does it usually take for the status to change to " Approved" and card mailed?

Thanks!

I think you should simply call the USCIS helpdesk number and ask this question..that would be the most quick and accurate source of information regarding this issue...

agree..more approvals in the next few days would be the only confirmation one should base their estimates of processing times on....

Hi guys,

Quick Question:

For qn # 11 on I-765 application form:

Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?

My wife was previously on H1b for a few years. Would I need to answer this q'n as "YES" and provide details or the answer is "NO" as with employment authorization they mean previous EAD application and not H1b application?

Thanks!

A government-issued identification document with photo

A copy of your last EAD (if any);
A copy of the biometric page of your passport;
A birth certificate with photo ID;
A visa issued by a foreign consulate; or
A national identity document with photo.

Are all the documents from the above list required or is it any one of the above?

TIA

IMO..you could opt for regular I-140 processing for now....You have the option of upgrading to premium processing anytime later during the process....If EO goes through...upgrade to premium processing of I-140 then and also file 485 concurrently if your PD date becomes current based on EO..

It's time for us to finalize our followup strategy with DHS...If we don't hear anything by Monday, August 11'th we need to start pressing a bit...Calling/Emailing Kevin J. Cummings is one option....
