Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

There is a news on immigration.com which says that:
Senator Robert Menandez, one of the eight key proponents and sponsors of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform had this to say, which is indicative of what the new bill (which may be released on 17 April) will look like.
 As per that news, we DO HAVE ‘Elimination of some family based visa categories’ in that reform which is I guess is eliminating the H4 visa in certain conditions( which means prime holder H1b supposed to be more than 6 more years in USA with 140 approved)
So stop debating anything which is not logical and correct, please follow the news…hopefully something come up by tomorrow for sure.

Dear sri4tt- Don't get frustrated, I can understand your situation. Just wondering for couple of things -
If you don't want to sit at home and want to work, why don't you got for higher studies first? I mean getting an admission in any decent US university is also a good option and once you are done with your MS/MBSA it's easy to get a job while on OPT (No VISA required) and later on you can find a company who can sponsor your H1b? I mean why you are just wasting your time while sitting in home? If you want to take some action, please first take action for yourself then thing abt fasting, walk or protest publically! Just saying, don’t mind.
Sandy

Topic: 7th year of H1B visa Stamping in India or Canada ?

Wanted to share my Visa Experience :
7th year VISA Stamping, working as a FTE for a health care company. Green card in process, I 140 approved with PD of 2010.

I went to Delhi on 21st Nov 2012 for my visa interview and had successful H1B visa stamping.
Visa officer asked me only there questions :
Why you want to go to USA ?
How long you will stay in India ?
Where is your company head office ?
What exactly you do for your company ?
And
How much you are making in a year !
AND
finally the golden word that : Your visa is approved!

rajusa18,
Thanks for your response, please let me know couple of things :
How many days it took to get the visa approval after 221G ?
Are you working as a full time employee ?
Is it true that in canada they took very less time to clear your 221g as compare to india ?
Please response..
Thanks again !

Topic: 7th year of H1B visa Stamping in India or Canada ?

I am currently in my 7th year of H1B (with I-797 till May 2014) I am currently working as a full time employee for a health care company (direct employment/client). I have my I-140 approved and my priority date is June 15th 2010. I am planning to go to India in month of Nov. Wondering if I need any special documents/paper work from my company or lawyer for visa stamping? I have heard some cases where people got 221G so worried about the visa stamping. Is Canada is also a good option for 7th year of stamping? Please share your experience if any one of you went for 7th or 8th year of visa stamping anywhere in the world.
Thanks
ASIT
