Hi everyone, thank you very much for your kind reply.
I have waited for one month since 11/14/2008, when I applied my SSN. There is no SSN card received until now. My EAD card was received on 11/12/2008.
I don't know why.
Could you please be kind enough to give me some suggestion?

Hi MrVulcan, thank you very much for your generous help on my case.
Yesterday I went to the social security office, which told me to wait until my check cleared. The officer said that sometimes 3 months or longer needed. As you mentioned, I will call them each week and follow the process of my SSN application.

You should get the card in one week, when the status of your case became Approval Notice Sent.

I only got the email-work offer from the Professor in the lab. They said I must get SSN,then get the paper offer from Department of Human Resources.
I don't know whether the email is enough evident to the officer manager of Local Socail Security.

Hi everyone,
I got my EAD last 11/12, and applied my SSN 11/14. Today Department of Human Resources said I can't work without SSN.
Why??? EAD is not enough.
BTW., the local office said they need to verify my document. EAD is not a proof? I am confused about that.

Can anyone have some experience about that?

Maybe you can call the 800-sevice phone to check about your case number.
It's a small problem. Don't keep in mind.

Maybe ask for the delivery conformation in Post office, then you can check the progress of your mail on the usps.com.

My case is the new paper-filed without attorney. RFE letter said "Both DS2019 forms submitted to our office are not complete; the signature at the bottom of each form is missing. Please have the principal and the dependent re-submit their respective form, including all required signatures."
In fact, we indeed ignore those items. I am in USA, not in China.
About the "place" and "date" items ,I don't know how to write down.

RFE letter: 10/24/08 because of no signature in Both DS2019 forms.

Nobody ask us to write down the signature , place and date in the bottom of DS2019.

I don't know how to do.

no notice of FP for your EAD?

As I know, both renewal and I-765 dependent EAD need FP. I am a new application. I don't know whether it need FP.

USCIS use the new Form-I-765, and you can download from the website of USCIS.

I am a new application.Nebraska Service Center received my paper-filed I-765 on August 8. However, I haven't got any mail for the FP notice.
how about your received time for I-797 and FP notice?

hi,everyone.
Recently one case was denied by no providing the FP.

I mailed my paper-filed EAD on August 6th, USCIS recieved on August 8th, but no receiving mail for the FP until now. One webpage of USCIS said FP is necessary for the application(http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem...).

Does anyone have some suggestion?
