Topic: June filer called using POJ method
Have copy/pasted the quote by adrianm in this forum and it is ALWAYS helping me to get connected to an IO
-- call 1-800-375-5283;
-- press options: 1, 2, 2, 6, 1;
-- type in the receipt #;
-- press options 1, 3, 4;
It should say "You have reached Texas Service Center" (or wherever your app. is);
then it might say "No officers available", case in which you hang up and try later,
or it might say "Your estimated wait time is 30/ 40/ 50 minutes".
If you're lucky and get to a nice officer, they'll tell you what's going on.

Topic: Have Recd results back from FBI ? What does one infer ?
Lrindy
I am planning to call USCIS using POJ. Also I am planning to get INFOPASS once again. Perhaps if this time the IO is going to be non-cooperative , I shall talk to the supervisor. and am not sure if the USCIS helps INFOPASS customers to do this. Any help/experience in this regard is welcome.
Best Regards ~VK | | | |

Topic: Have Recd results back from FBI ? What does one infer ?
Had an infopass today at Milwaukee ACS today . The lady looked like "hen-pecked" and her answers were more complicated. When I asked abt my NC clearance she said initially "she cannot tell me" and then I asked whether I can see her superior coz I took an infopass to get concrete answers and not to be baffled by the kind of first level USCIS Cust service. Then she asked me my A # , I-485 receipt (June 8th 2007 ) . Mumbling herself into the screen, she told me "The results have come back from FBI on Nov 5th 2007". When I asked her explicitly what does that mean she said she cannot disclose it. I asked her if the results pertain to NC or Background clearance. She said she is done with me. Scary experience.
Any insight into this answer (recd results from FBI) I can infer shall be appreciated.
TIA ~vk | | | |

Topic: Service Request reply
Last month I opened a service request to inquire why its taking so long to process my case (EB-2, cross charge-ability, PD Jan 06, RD Dec 06).
I received a reply from TSC on Friday stating that my case is under additional review. I had an infopass on Friday too and the immigration lady told me that the Security Checks are pending. She wouldn't tell me when they were initiated or any other information.
Can anyone explain what additional review would be?
Good Luck Raj and three cheers for holding ur nerves ..NC is quite scary and Praying Almighty that this should be fixed asap so that all our fellow folks get through the process at ease. Take care dude

Topic: Name check result update to USCIS.
Hi ,
My Name check is cleared more than 1 month back. My GC is not approved yet. I don't have any clue at all when it will approve. Any idea how long it will take to get approval after namecheck cleared?
Thx
Hello pksahoo
If ur PD is 2006 (India) then you may have to wait till the PD becomes current despite ur NC clearance.
QQ : How could you apply at first place in Feb 2007 when I-485 was not current for India for EB2/3 category for 6/6/2006 PD.
Thanks | | | |

Topic: Congressman Response time: Name check

Topic: name check
Our PD is October 2002, and I-485 was filed in September '04. When our PD was current in June this year, we were told our case is pending name check clearance since November '05. We had an appointment with IO and he told us this and said there is no resolution time for it. Is is true that we really cannot take any action and know when our name check could be cleared. People who applied way after us have got their GCs. How long do we have to wait? Where can we get an answer to the name check clearance? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
I feel sorry for ur delay in GC. If ur NC is being delayed , you need to roll up sleeves and stand up against USCIS by writing to FBI (thru senator)..Go thru' the link http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.p... which is self explanatory.

Topic: Finger print fee reject
Baku
We have already undergone/ing this trauma for my spouse and the status quo prevails. Our attorney is trying to fix this but looks like we are trying to "straigten a dog's tail" .. Good side is she has completed her FP alongwith me (the DM was down to earth person when she showed her the original receipt of 485) ..but this FP fee rejected apprears in her case when viewed online.
My attorney opines that since her NC is cleared , this FP fee reject stigma perhaps may be preventing her to get GC approved. So keep in pursuit with USCIS thru ur lawyer so that all efforts get paid at the end.

Topic: so desperate, NC cleared, approval not coming
Eb1, NC cleared since May, the process time is 12/19/06, RD is 12/26/06, still no approval. Can not send inquiry because processing time is 7 days earlier than my RD. So desperate! When will be my Day?

Congrats on ur NC. If I am you, I would talk to IO and request him to do the needful (despite falling short of processing period -it is just a lame excuse to soa(save own a..) .. Just now spoke with an IO who said I am outside the PP (processing period) to get to know my status of approval ..Good Luck

My apprehension is you have spoken to the front desk(FD) person who has no knowledge abt the NC. Next time when you talk to the FD guy, make sure that u need the case escalated (either to ur superior or to an IO) to check ur NC status ..FYI only an IO can tell that NC status (provided you get a better IO to tell you the one)..I do most of my times and so far no issues. Good Luck with ur venture and NC clearance.

Topic: Name Check.
jlaw..I have done many times ..In fact the CS guys are block headed and you should tell them in stern voice that " I need escalation or get me ur supervisor" ..sometimes we need to do this to talk to an IO. Also make sure you have ur alien number ready , since any converant IO asks only them ..Good Luck next time ..BTW, you can call multiple times no probs ..as you are jamming only the front line of defense ..

Topic: Name Check.
vkrb32,
How can we reach an IO by phone?
is that an infopass - if through info pass is that only for face-to-face interviews with an IO or is it a phone conversation?
Thanks much for the help!
jlaw
You may try this option
1-800-375-5283---select 1 --select 2 --select 6--select 1-- enter your SRC number
select 1---select 3 and select 4 to speak to a TSC representative.
If your I-485 SRC doesn’t work, punch in your I-140 SRC after going back to the main menu.
When the representative asks for SRC number, give your 485 SRC)
INFOPASS my experience was pathetic. did not get kuch infos. Calling USCIS and a pep talk with IO shud alleviate all ur fears on NC. Good Luck

I have tried with the former one. You need to talk an IO to get the NC check infos, as the CS guys were not able to get me this infos. Good Luck

Topic: received EAD and AP receipt but no 485 receipt
1. If you have given your personal check, you may check with your online bank a/c and the I-485 receipt nos are stamped overleaf.
2. Both your approved AP and EAD carries a unique alien # which starts with A# (usually 9 digits) and call USCIS and tell them you want to know the 485 receipt # with your A#. Good Luck

Topic: 485 approved when Visa bulletin says unavailable.
Congrats on ur GC approval. You got ur GC approved as I guess that they would have used visa numbers which would have been returned by consulate offices across the continents. Lucky stars smiled at you at the right oppurtane and it is party time .

Topic: Card Production...FP Notice
Well, you shud say I need to get connected to IO on the NC clearance. Most of the times you get connected to IO on request. Good Luck

|
Topic: Card Production...FP Notice
Gary...EAD is approved irrespective of FP ..you may get GC approved provided your "Name Check" is completed ..Call again and talk to IO to get a clear picture. BTW, FP is mandatory before GC is approved.

Topic: I-485 Process Overview
If your sub-labor has got a much earlier PD than the (Sep 2007 VB for India , EB2 current Apr1st 2004) , then your case shall be considered for adjudication provided the "NC" is cleared. If not you need to wait , till it is cleared. You may call USCIS and talk to an IO to know the status of "NC". Good Luck
