Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

I am not sure why everyone is trying to corner one guy...just because he provided his perspective.

if all are posting the same +ve vibe, then what is the use...if someone gives a different perspective then it is okay, it enhances our outlook only that may be neutral or -ve .....I think nothing justifies personal attacks.
Anyone engaging in personal attacks looks bigger fool and here everyone opposing "-ve guy" are looking alike.

please let us all settle to agree that we do not agree on some areas.. :)
fingers crossed, lets see how time turns for all of us.

Topic: Parents Vistor Visa Gt denied agaiin

1. Never show you would sponsor your parents in anyway....it reduces your chances..
2. Show as many reasons to come back to india...like business, investment, car family, home
3. Show a ongoing business work, job for father..

These things puts them at ease that your parents will return after 4-5 months to india.....anything that causes a doubt leads to rejection

Topic: EB1C Manager

I think we all have had our experience with EB1C category misuse..
I know complanining never works...but a small suggestion/tweak in existing law can reduce this misuse substantially..
I wanted to use this as a thread to see the support for this tweak.

Definition of Tweak in the law -
1) EB1C application should be supported with an extraordinary salary of at least "$200K" or equivalent Stock options paid in salary in USA.
2) This should be supported with a Job history of 1 year on foriegn Country, and 2 years in USA.

With this said, most of the Indian IT Companies would run away!
what do you think?

BJP Didn't win, Congress Lost.
Why would you remove a good/performing resource ever?..likewise any ruling party despite their shortcoming wouldn't lose, until they act like blood sucking b*****ds

Now regarding attitude of an Indian's towards other fellow Indians
- Most Indians are biased and try to hire Indians given an opportunity to hire. this is because they feel more comfortable, and can dominate the newly hired person easily.
- Amongst Indians I have seen this tendency amongst Southis to hire more Southis (despite lack of knowledge etc), just because they want to somehow built a guard for themselves..somesort of mini community. It is not bad thing to do.. but it is morally wrong, knowingly hiring a less deserving a candidate.
- I have seen this many times, at many places, Indians do not respect other Indians, but Indians fear and respect people of other nationality.
- I have seen this not once but many times, Many indians would rather enjoy company of Non Indians (given the chance), just because they feel its cool!

Again its all my perception, you have your right to have your opinion.

Topic: H1B extension in London, UK - 3d country?

I have been to UK for my stamping, here is my experience -
- you can pay and fix your appointment over the phone using a credit card
- 2 years back i was able to get interview date within 15 days.
- I was on work permit to UK, I believe it wouldn't be any issue for tourist visa either
- interview was rather short in UK
- nope they don't deliver by Fedex, there seems to be a local courier company. this company is a total ripoff.
it would be advisable to get the fastest delivery from them
- nope you don't get an option to pick the passport yourself.

it seems retrogression is unlikely.

EB3-I should go upto 2004 by End of this CY
EB2-I may stay stuck in 2008 till August-2014, and then they would apply the SO(for CY2013) and dates should move to 2009-2010

Topic: Options to recieve Biometric resident permit

Hi:

I took a interview at PEO croydon on 24th - December-2012, and was approved and given an approval letter and my passport back.

I asked them if I can travel, they mentioned yes but need to be back before my visa expires...or else after that and without BRP I can't enter.

I need to travel urgently and want to explore following -
Can I appoint a attorney/ person to recieve my BRP card and mail me via fedEx or DHL etc..?

if so do I just deal with DX/Secure or UKBA too?

has anyone done anything like this before?

Topic: Get citizenship with living in US for 2.5 years

couple of years back UK had similar easy to get Citizenship laws after PR (GC).....Now they made the laws much more complicated.

if you u r serious about US citizenship, try to stay here as much as possible.....because in 5 years what changes might come....we can't possibly anticipate!

don't think of staying 6 months only .....rather think more in terms of a
- steady occupation....financial strength
- carrier...
- take 2-3 month vacation and go n visit Japan......

if you find someone interesting then give up everything in US... else stick with your job in US!...at least by 5 years u will have US citizenship!...then u can stay whole time in Japan!!!!

and remember No money means no Honey!

Topic: Get citizenship with living in US for 2.5 years

dude its easy to get -
he got GC in 1 year itself (ROW)...still in early 20s....he is contemplating on what to do...!
he might be eyeing girls more inclined to stay in Japan ;)....
he might be eyeing great opportunities in US!!!

war between mind and heart!....Good luck dude!

regarding answer to your question, with current laws of citizenships you would be fine.......BUT..BUT...
there comes a BUTT of politicians DOL, USCIS and other immigration authorities....they can change laws anytime ...

just like the way they changed in UK (united kingdom)....they made citizenship laws quite complicated there!

Topic: Difference between Prevailing and the current wage for PERM?

Food for thought....

once you get your green card, why would company give you 30-40k more for doing same job? specially when they can spend fraction of it (once every 6 years) and get a cheap labor ?

and after you get GC, in desperation you would be happy for a marginal increment...
if you don't get the job, you will fudge the resume .....
hence the cycle of fakers keep going!!!!

DOL should have tighter regulations to filter out such people...
or
force companies to pay similar wages for H1Bs/L1B.......I bet all the companies like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS would be soon out of business!!!

Topic: Immigration reform coming in 2013

I always felt we had BS politics in India....now sad to see same state of affairs in US too....
US was initially built on fundamentals of competence, innovation, and rewards for hard work....

Now the situation is Mitt romney(politician) had to say, 47% of americans are never going to vote for him, because they are addicted to government benefits.....

- and politicians are planning to add more to this pool by allowing "good for nothing" illegal immigrants and their kids....i guess thats what politicians do, deviate general population's attention from real change...and make them dependent on peanuts.
- they are going to increase tax rate on high income group, just because they worked harder to earn more.....seriously ??? and then support those illegal immigrants with same money....

somehow most people like socialism, but in reality it never works!....
it is also sad to see American citizens like JoeF also supports "help to illegals".....instead of taking to streets and protest against it, he is sitting in trackitt advising legal immigrants to join hands .... what a shame!

Topic: mathematically could EB3I and EB2I have the same cut-off dates

if all indians file under EB2 and no one files under EB3.....then EB3 I can become current whereas EB2 can have severe backlog!

So in current immigration system anything can happen!
