Interview Experience: Hi All,
Today i´ve attended Initial Interview for my AOS in San Jose. It went well. The final thing is, due to Visa Unavailability , the IO didn´t approve my case today.(as expected) She said, my application will be located in San Jose it self and once the my priority date becomes current, it will get approved. And also my FP is getting expired next month, so she asked us to go for FP next week.

She asked about our marriage & Birth certificates, Employment Letter, Joint Bank Account statement, Joint Insurance Statements.(All Originals) And she asked all the questions which are appeared in 485 application.. She took out our I-94s , old EADs and said, i might not hear any thing from them in near future.

The only thing is, i have two approved 140s both EB2 but different companies. My Attorney has requested to port-in the old priority date of the other company. But it didn't happen.(which is sep 2004).My current company priority date is May 2006.
She can see two approved 140s in my file. When i asked about getting the old priority date, she said that she will need to talk to her supervisor.

I hope it helps. Let me know in case, if any one has any questions.

I would say, interview is easy and it lasts for 30 minutes.

thanks
Notes: I have seen couple of soft LUDs before interview date

Topic: Transfer to National Benefits Center?

Once the application sent to local office, it wont go back to NSC/TSC. It will stay in that local office only. The Interviewer told me this.

Interview Notice will come to both the applicant and to the lawyer. You might see some thing like, 'You application is located where it got transferred to' After getting this status, probably you will receive interview letter within 30 days, depending on the availability at that local center

Yeah, that could be one of the reason.. Got married in June 2007 and applied for AOS for both of us in July/August 2007

she asked me about those docs.. bank Account Statement issued by the BANK and Auto Insurance.. ( all these just to prove, we both are staying together). If you dont have joint account, you show some other document like Tax Returns statement or lease agreement etc.

First when it get transferred to NBC, you will receive hard LUD. After it reaches NBC, you will see couple of Soft LUDs within a week. And after 6-8 weeks, you'll receive Interview Letter, once it it is transferred to Local Office.
Hope this helps.

I think , they will mark the priority date as the date when your AOS application received. For me also it is July 2007.
