Love2008, is your h-1b stamped on your passport? Or did you get it while in the US? either way, you will probably be asked to show your AP document for entry to the US.

regarding your employment question, you will need to use the EAD to apply for a job. there are no restrictions about sponsorship etc, like in the case of a H-1b. good luck! when you fill in your i-9 supply the A# from the EAD.

i will look to see if i can find it.

he had said it was ok. but you would need to consult a lawyer to confirm. most lawyers will answer this question over the phone for free. give someone in your area a call.

Update: I received my EAD card in the mail yesterday.

I already received my AP. Now I guess the long wait for the interview begins. Any idea what time frame we are looking at, in Boston?

i received my advance parole document in the mail today. i expect the EAD to arrive next week.
i think you can start applying for jobs and letting potential employers know that your EAD is on its way.

patience. i know its easier said. but thanksgiving is coming up, and so i expect things to slow down a bit. i am convinced bibi620 and imran will hear by the first week of december.
