Topic: Article on MSN...

What the heck ....the US govt also used forged intelligence to convince its citizens for going to war.
These are just innocent hardworking people looking for a better life for them and their family.

Sure, and they come here innocently to get fleeced by corrupt body shopping companies who then send these "hardworking" people to work in laundromats.

The process needs to be cleaned up and all these corrupt body shoppers need to be taught a BIG lesson.

Topic: Writ of mandamus ..Need your valuble inputs

Guys, I decided to go with writ of mandamus after has been waiting so long and consistantly hearing that security/background checks are not cleared. But I need your suggestions/experience on this .....Is it safe to go WOM? Or am i putting myself in to trouble... Guys ... please advice me whether to proceed or no ....? Really really appreciate your help on this

Your WOM will fail.

- They are processing cases filed in June 2007. Your case was filed in Aug 2007.

WOM is useful when your case is pending for a long time. (Just the fact that your PD is in 2003 has no relevance to the WOM).

Since the EB2 dates have retrogressed, have patience, your GC approval is coming soon.

Topic: Biometrics notice received after physical Green Card received - Confused

E-filing EAD results in biometrics. Read these forums to find out. E-filing has no advantage over paper filing. So do paper filing in the future.

Topic: Is USA still land of oppurtunities

The economy cannot just keep on growing continously. It has to come down some to go up further.

Funny thing in the story is that the person was asking for $130 per hour. Which world are they living in? When the economy crashes the hourly rate crashes too!!!!! Did they not have that much common sense?

Topic: How long to work for sponsoring employer after GC. Please see my research

This is really interesting that your PD was July 2007 and after getting the GC in about a year you want to leave employer.

You will have problems during Naturalization.

Topic: Congressman Mike Honda Reply and 485 status

If you have so much faith in this congressman why are you asking for other GC applicant's thoughts. And then re-iterating that congressman will get you the GC.

My experience has been as I have stated in my posting. Note that the congressman cannot expedite the GC process or will not do so. If you have some pull with him, then they might.

The only positive thing about the congressman was that I was getting an update on the I-140 each month. I could not call USCIS and ask for the status. As far as the I-485 is concerned, I am on my own.

Congressman does not help, they just get you a status update each month - " that your case is pending".

I have contacted my congressman for the I-140 and I-485 cases, and nothing much comes out of it, except a monthly update with no information other than what is online.

Topic: Mumbai Consulate Visa Bulletin October 2008

Great, finally old timers can expect an approval. USCIS has gone crazy and is issuing GC's to 2005/2006 filers like crazy.

Most of the predictions about EB2 becoming current were wrong and that is excellent.

Topic: Receipt not received...

I mailed documents for EAD renewal for my spouse and I. Online tracking shows document delivered, but no receipt so far.

On calling today, IO says that they had mailed receipt. On my saying that I did not receive the same, she says that they do not mail duplicate receipt notice. Has anyone faced this situation before?

Topic: I-785 document received in TSC 08/13/2008. No receipt so far.

I did not file online, because of need for unnecessary fingerprinting. I had filed after October 2008, so paid the increased filing fee (which covers the free EAD and AP renewal forever.. till getting GC).

So just mailed the applications no cheques.
