Topic: when can i expect my GC

A while. How long, who knows? But India EB2 with your PD will be quite a while.

Topic: January 2009 Visa Bulletin now available on Mumbai consulate's website

I wouldn't except much movement for the next few months, in fact some retrogression will occur. Second/Third quarter should see significant changes based on trending from previous years. All this same, this is very disconcerting.

Topic: H1-B extension with no changes

Treat the extension as you would with apply for an H1B the first time. Make sure all supporting documents are presented, as you did with the first application. You can use the same support letter, but include new work that has been completed. Remember, you're justifying your work role and responsibilities for an extension request. The more information (accurate) you include the better.

Topic: Are employers shying away from candidates on EAD

Its the "American" thing to do, especially now with so many out of work. Tough to swallow, but true.

Topic: pacquiao or dela hoya?

Great fight! I hope this is it for De La Hoya. He has nothing to prove, the man is going into the boxing hall of fame. Time to call it quits and retire with grace. You don't want to end up as a basket case, aka Muhammad Ali.

Topic: Is it worth renewing your H1B after one uses AP to travel out of US?

I believe its possible. You'll have to submit additional paperwork - check with your lawyer.

Topic: Fastest way to obtain a GC

How is this old news? Its was reported yesterday :)

I think this is a great opportunity, especially if you're young and willing to sacrifice a few years. If you love this country, what better way to serve. Good luck to all who apply.

Promising. But for now, economy trumps all. I wouldn't anticipate much movement until well into next year.
