Last Tuesday, the 11th, I went to San Antonio. This is where my wife's application is on file. The IO was semi-helpful, she told me that they have separated all the cases that fit the 180 day criteria, and they are ready for approval. BUT, the San Antonio office has not yet received authorization to approve these cases. I asked if she's heard any rumors about when the authorization will be given, and of course, "I have no idea." I don't know who this authorization will come from (I'm guessing the big bosses up in D.C.), but at least she acknowledged that these cases are separated and ready to go.
I would hope that the other field offices have done the same. I've noticed that the Service Centers have begun approving based on the memo, it's just us field office applicants that are still waiting. |
