As many are pointing out, even if you get past the CSRs on the phone and get to an IO, they may end up either:

1) Telling you that you are only the beneficiary and so they can't give you any information.

2) Opening up a service request which may result in a ridiculous RFE that could be a problem.

At this point, I personally think it is better to just sit tight and wait. I and my husband have EAD and AP, so we are pretty much OK. We want to buy a house, but the bank won't lend us money until our I-140 is approved Also my husband doesn't want to invest too much money in his new business due to uncertainty in case our I-140 gets denied for whatever reason, so obviously waiting is holding us back somewhat.
