Your reply was useful. I have paid the money to the company, it is they who issued the check. & as per my understanding, IF I am unlucky in the lottery the check will come back in their name & they will issue a check to me. If it was my cheque, I could track it easily.
I am not worried about the time taken, it was more about whether I am being ripped off. Attorney fees & credential evaluation was billed as $ 1250. INS fees as $ 1600. If unlucky I get back 1600, but the 1250 is gone.
Now I know that in either eventuality there should be a letter, I can ask that for peace of mind.
