Hi:
Once you land in canada, how long does it take to receive permanent resident card. I am planning to go in June and wanted to take off from my job. Any idea?

4-5 weeks to get PR card in mail to the Canadian Address! If CIC suspects that u leaving back to USA within a few weeks, most likely they will not mail the PR, but ask u to come in person, just to make ur life miserable. keep 1 thing in mind..........the immig visa is Single Entry & will be cancelled upon landing! So re-entering Canada would be a pain in the butt! U've to get a returning resident permit from a CAD Embassy, so much trouble!
