| AOR for those after February 27th |

All application filed after Feb. 26th are now awaiting the outcome of a new legislation. If you filed after that date, you will NOT receive AOR before the new legislation becomes effective. Canada will become more selective with immigrant applicants. Lists of preferred professions will be made. Those favored on such lists will be given expedited processing. Those least favored will have their applications returned to them. Buffalo has simply been waiting for instructions on "what applications to return". A Canadian immigration attorney told me today that it may take as long as till this fall for the new procedures to be in place and for the immigration machine to be up and running again. So a few more months of waiting ahead.
