EAD RENEWAL :: Effective after expiry of current EAD expiry date

am36 means the top portion of the folded card in which your new EAD was inserted inside the envelope it arrived in. That top portion is a tear-off portion and it states that one should send it with any renewal application.

That's right. I am talking about the same in which your card is tucked in / "inserted on four corner". I believe that if you use this, then you are going to get extension after expiry of current one, or otherwise the approval date will be your start date (even though you may be getting approved two month before expiry of current EAD).
