| INITIAL SETTLEMENT TASKS AFTER LANDING IN UK ON HSMP VISA |

Hey Guys,
First of all who ever started this thread, I would like to say "Thank you and Good job!".
I got my EC yesterday (19th Aug 2008) and I am planning to travel to the UK after 10th Sept 2008.
I have 5 yrs of experience in Embedded systems and 2 yrs of domain specific experience in Automotive infotainment systems. Could any of you guys kindly answer the following questions considering my profile?
1. Which would be the Ideal place to stay while doing a job search, opportunities wise?
2. Same question as above considering all factors (opportunities, expenditure, more job seekers, etc considerations)?
3. How much would be the per month expenditure (approx) for both the above places?
4. Which are the best job sites, to register for?
5. Your comment on Matrix mobile connection, which we can get here before traveling to the UK. No roaming on incoming while in the UK, free sim post paid connection etc is making it handy. Even reliance has such international sim cards now a days.
6. I heard Coventry, UK has best economical cost of living, coming to around 250GBP per month. Including all expenses if living with friends on a share basis. What are your comments on this? |
