Perhaps I am too passimistic, but based on my past experience, every time one bottle-neck is resolved in the immigration system, another one appears in its place.
I will save you the details, but many of us have been in the system long enough to know that that is exactly what happend so far, and in my opinion, if this bill indeed passes (which I doubt), it will happen again, and we'll be stock elsewhere.
Besides, this democratic majority congress has done absolutely nothing since they got elected and until now, and I am pretty sure they won't do much good at least until a new president is in office.
Also, I have the feeling that our congress cares more about the illegal immigrants than they care about us, and I doubt that these letters will change their minds.
Sorry to sound discouraging, but I'd rather set the expecations low than get dissapointed later. |
