| Initial Assessment?? |

| The Initial Assessment letter is basically sent sometime after they send you the AOR letter. The AOR letter says that the consulate has received your request and will process it in the order in which it was received. The Initial Assessment letter comes later and tells you if they need any other paperwork. In some situations when the visa takes a long time they may send you another request for documents later, Quebec did this when I was applying through QC but at the federal level once I started the visa process for the family class they only asked once.
