Soft LUD"S

Ok, seriously, what is a SOFT LUD versus a HARD LUD? And how can you tell the difference? I look at the USCIS site. I see a date that says LUD. How do you know whether it was soft or hard? Also, how do people tell the time of day the LUD posted? I see people refer to times of the LUD's in this forum. Am I missing something???

When you log onto the USCIS website using your ID and password and look at your onine portfolio you will see
a list of your case(s).

One of the columns in that table is 'Last Update Date' (LUD).

Soft LUD is when this date changes, but the message does not (and/or no email is sent)
Hard LUD is when this date changes and the message changes too (case status change) and can be associated with an email.

To summarize:

Soft LUD is date change only
Hard LUD is message/case status change.

You have to set up an account to see all this stuff.
