| why should it take an avergae of 10 months to be re-untied with your spouse? |

| I kind of agree with every post on this thread and if I consider my case and what I have experienced so far, I see the reason why people say that canada doesn't care about reuniting families but only lies about it. I sponsored my husband but after waiting for about 2 years to hear from the office, the news I got is that my marriage is not genuine. They said he married me because he wants to come over to Canada. This tells me that this people are heartless brutes especially when it concerns those from the developing countries. I have a child with my husband who will be turning 6 by end of this month and the immigration officer did not even consider that a child is involved but had the audacity to pronounce my marriage as that of convinience. Letters from my church, MP etc did not convince the arrogant officer enough to approve the file. What a shame!. Maybe he would have been more convinced if I had decided to part ways with my husband whom I decided to marry despite all odds and hook up with someone new. The last time I saw my husband was 2 years ago when I was able to travel to where he is. They refused him visa to visit which would be cheaper than my and my daughter paying to travel back there. It is so sad. My child had only seem him once in her entire life and when she looks around and see other kids and what they do with thier dad around them, she ask me questions that makes me break down and sob for how my life have been turned around. I appealed the decision sometime in Sept 07 and still waiting to hear from them although they told me it takes 3 months for them to receive documents requested from the embassy that handled our file. The only thing I see with this system is that they penalize people for telling the truth and glorify liars. |
