| Hiya, Yes they do a criminal check, just a basic one. Are you legally married and living with him in Canada? If so then he automatically qualifies as your sponsor. I was SO relieved when a call centre agent told me that because my hubby is on insurance and I make more than he does. Fortunately it's not an issue. If that is not the case you can get the information from a certain form which I can't remember the reference for.... I have it written down somewhere so I will look for it tonight for you. I really hope that you are exempt from the requirement like me though because it's just wonderful not to have that extra worry! Good luck. |
