PERM based on alternate occupation experience

I am looking for some advice about PERM certification if you qualify for the job based on experience gained in an alternate occupation.

Given the job was dissimilar, how do you show that your skills meet the requirements laid out in the minimum requirements. Wouldnt the CO find it objectionable?
