Well I saw a support group for Nov (08), Dec (08), Jan (09), Feb (09), Mar (09) even a June (09). I know there are people from April that have been waiting their turn... so this is for us April folks!
I think we may start seeing April cases in early-mid Feb.. Good Luck to us all..

Doesn't matter when it starts. We have waited so long what's another month or two? But yes, good luck to us all.
Another fellow April-er :)

by the way, our PDs are same (28th). May not matter in the end, but certainly a longer wait for us, compared to early April PDs

I saw a pretty good explanation on how the months are handled. They are not sequential... I have been following the trend and the first Jan and Feb cases (maybe it was Feb and March) approved were the 28th of that month! Gives me hope...

I think it will start from last week of Jan or from 1st week of Feb. My previous Labor was applied in Nov 07 and after Audit it was denied in Nov 09. Bloody Fu*k*rs !!

I am hoping that atleast this Labor gets approved. My PD is 1st week of April 09

I think we may start to see April 2009 approvals in last week of this month. I hope this year folks at DOL will be rational, reasonable and have compassion in their mind!

I am waiting for PERM approval to file my H-1 7th year extension. Today, I am really nervous to see no approval on January 5th. Hopefully, DOL is still approving March cases as quick as it did in December.

It seems the march cases did not go further, not even a single approved case yesterday. We might have to wait longer than expected.

I am starting to get nervous now since my H-1 visa will expire in the mid February. Time is clicking. I have everything ready for my H-1 visa renewal and just hoped everything will be fine before my H1 expiration.

Keep my finger crossed. God save us.

Did you renew your H-1 visa within 6-year limit? Unless your PERM has been filed for over 365 days, you have to rely on the approval of PERM application to file 7-year extension.

Anyway, I felt some kind of relief sharing my situation with others.

There was another March 09 case approved sometime back. I hope we see more approvals and we definitely need to see the dates on the icert.doleta site change. Its still stuck in Feb 09 (last updated on 11/30/2009)... wishing for the best

to Bilka:

In a way this is a change in trend. Over the past few months, everytime the % crept over 50 for a month they would pick up cases from the following month. However, since last month they seem to have changed that. Officially March was not processed until Jan 12th but there were some (very few) March cases that were processed as early as Dec 30th. So officially speaking we may not see the icert website move dates until sometime in mid Feb, in the meantime we may see some April cases (the number has been declining since the past few months). March has definitely slowed, a week ago the activity was frentic (a jump of 5% points was the norm).
But our turn will come... lets hope its sooner than later

I am unsure if it is genuine April case as it was mentioned as re-file. I would have seen 1-2 more approvals if DOL would have really touched April cases.

Looks like we will have to wait until 1st Feb!! Though don’t mind if DOL surprises by approving more cases today!

Hello everyone..great to have an April forum

Doesn't it mean late April applications will wait a little longer or its just random within the month? I also see the Chicago forum is still active but am assuming all PERM (EB2 in my case) go thro' Atlanta.

Welcome! Actually, if you see the tracker you will note that approvals have come through for cases as late as the 23rd. I wouldn't call it random but its not sequential either. It seems like analysts have a case load that span a week or so and depending on their backlog they seem to go through these! I saw one of the first approvals come in for a case filed on 04/07. Thereafter 04/01s and 04/02s so lets wait and watch

I checked with my employer today and they weren't even sure whether PERM went to Atlanta..."we just submitted online, we don't know where they go.." was the response, but when I asked them to check my status, they entered a letter followed by nos A..... , does the A stand for Alien? Atlanta?? The status was "in process" whatever that means. Also, I would hate to bother them frequently, so will they automatically be told once it's approved or they gotta check first. Thanks.

My attorney just called me this afternoon that PERM has been approved. Patience paid off. But, there are some issues of ability to pay to file I-140. Hopefully, I could convince my boss give me some kind of raise of a couple of thousands dollars on top of my current salary.

Anyway, thank your guys for sharing information, blessings, and encouragement. I wish you all the best.

A for Atlanta, You have to check everyday if your application is filed in April or before that.

In mostly 15 days, you will get the certification in mail.

I got the email from the employer today confirming my approval. I have already set up a meeting next week for discussions on the next steps. No time to waste baby! Thanks to everyone. I think the last few days of February were the most difficult during the waiting period, given that I knew the news could come anytime based on Trackiit's accurate data!!!!

My PERM was filed on 4/9/09. I'm starting to get nervous as I see they have moved well into dates that are end of April 09. This doesn't make much sense to me. My employer has been checking the website and it keeps saying "In Process". Anyone else who filed at the beginning of April of 2009 and is not approved yet? Ugh, this is so nerve wrecking.......

Well technically speaking DOL has not even started processing April cases. The Icert.doleta.gov website shows that currently they are processing March 2009 cases. I know that is of little comfort to us... I wish my case was certified as well but its not...we can do nothing but be patient. We have waited for 10 months...lets be patient and wait for a few more days
