I don't know if thats the right place to put this discussion but i really need some information from anyone who can help. I was wonder can someonewho has completed high school in the States be ableto get an F1 student visa upon completion and how is this possible. I have read in my resent research on this that if one has over stayed on a visting visa this is impossible. My sister graduated from high school up here and is currently looking to obtain one i am very skeptic about it and was wondering if the same process with interviews will be done and if she willbe deported if she has to go to an interview. Your answers to my question will be very appreciated thanks in advance.

to my knowledge, the answer is no, she can't get an F1 visa. She came in as a tourist and have overstayed her visa. She is no longer eligible to adjust her status here. Only way she can adjust is with a petition from a relative. But consult a lawyer. Call immigration advocacy in new york, they are a non profit immigration organization and would answer questions and inquiries without any fees...

he needs DREAM act, which has been introduced almost every year but got killed every year, and will be introduced again for sure. in his situation, he should aim at LPR because non-immigrant visa is no longer possible.
