Sent application package to USCIS via UPS overnight - 25 Jan 10
USCIS Received application (as per tracker) - 26 Jan 10
sent everything stated on the instructions, also included "other evidence" showing bonafide marriage such as:
-report of marriage - filed at my home country's consulate
-a few photos documenting our relationship - - dating back to 2004.
-gym membership applications
-itineraries of trips together before marriage
-reservation of theater tickets for my "birthday" date purchased shortly before wedding. (my birthday comes after the wedding)
-mobile phone bill show me s part of his plan
Most likely, I will be interviewed in the SFO office. Has anyone heard feedback regarding the IO's in this office???

Entered into US with B visa
Applied through the Citizen kid
First applied on 18th, reached USCIS on 19th, was rejected (due to the combined Fee Check) on 27th, send back again on 27th with the separated checks for fee on the same day, received at USCIS on 29th.

caryatid have your checks been cashed? because mine did yesterday but havent received any thing in the mail.

Nope, have not received anything. I'm a few days behind you so I guess they'll cash my check later. Hopefully, not MUCH later.

Yep. Got my NOAs yesterday also. Once I get the biometrics letter, I'm going to try to walk in like the other :P Worth the risk.
I'm seeing approvals under 100 days. I'm hoping we're as lucky as those people. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

I got married on 11/07/2009.
I mailed I-130, I-485, and I 765 on 1/26/2010.
USCIS received my packet on 1/28/2010.
Cashed i-485 check on 2/4/2010
Cashed i-130 check on 2/5/2010
I got receipts for i-485, i-130, and i-765 on 2/6/2010.
I checked my receipt number uscis website, but it didn't work :(
Have you guys tried your receipt # online to check status?
I hope I can get biometric appointment date soon!!

I saw several people who just went there earlier by mistake. And they could do their biometric even if they were not on the day of appointment. :)
I am not sure that if it is going to work that way for everybody! But i think it is worth to try :)

For our case, we got the checks cashed on 2/4/10, found the receipt numbers on the back of the cashed checks images(online from my bank). But those numbers are not working on USCIS case status online(please note that I still need to receive our receipt notices in the USPS mail).
So, typically it takes a day or two to update the USCIS database to show the recent petitions status online, check it a day later |

Regarding walk-in biometrics. Yes, I would definitely try it.
I went on the next working day after receiving my appointment letter.
When the security guard asked for my photo id & letter, as I handed them over, I said "I'm a little early".
She said not to worry, and I then said: "Actually, I'm two weeks early".
It wasn't a problem.
However, that might be because they were empty and no-one else was waiting. It was 3pm last Tuesday in New York.
I guess I got lucky.
But I would suggest there is no harm in trying especially if they don't look busy.

Per USPS shipment activity updates, package arrived to USCIS-Chicago on 02/24/2010
Sent money orders for payments, so i have no way of knowing if they were cashed :(

Hi,
I have send my i130 i485 on March 2 2010 USCIC receive it.
It have been little over a week but USCAS have not cash the check yet anyone have idea why?
I read on the posts that USCAS deposits the checks after 4 days from the day they receive it...
How long schould I wait before contacting them?
