You will need to wait until you naturalize or until approximately 2013 for your wife to immigrate to the united states. Thats the next step of the process for you - the waiting step.

I knew that part with the waiting time. I am interested how the next steps look like? How the following steps are. Like I described in my first thread. thanks

I have a similar case too. I am a LPR and filed I130 in Feb 08.
I got notice that my file has been transferred to NBC on Dec, 31,09. The last update Jan 05, 09 stated that my I 130 application is transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. I really dont know if they meant the NBC or Vermont Processing center !
I have no idea how much longer I have to wait.

same with me, Jan 05 the same email alert. seem to work fine with email notifications.
the have sent the application to NBC for further processing. I am curious if I will get a letter too.
I guess after these notifications I will not hear from USCIS for long time again?!??!
In the processing time they state 42 mo for I130 Petition for LPR relative.
So I guess mid or End 2011 there is further action!?!?

I checked the status update of my application and found that the last action was taken on 01/06/09 ; possibly something else was done with my application. I am in a quandary right now. Is this successive update of my file a sign of speedy action or otherwise?

Seems were are in the same boat!

to longi130:
I just checked the processing times at USCIS and they changed the times quite dramatically.
last year they stated at Vermont Service Center I-130 approx 42 Months and now they state 30 Months
for processing I-130 for LPR and Spouse Alien. Looks like the are speeding up processing time at USCIS!
Can anybody agree my statements.

to longi130:
Hi guys,
I've applied I-130 back in mar,2008 for my wife and aug/2009, i had to withdrawl the application due to my wife's approved canadian immigration, but i want reapply I-130 for my wife, should i get priority date for the previouse application, or they will count new priority date? Please share info, if similar experience. I would greatly appreciated it.

to mathaabhai:
I don't understand why you had to withdraw the application. I would have left the application in the system because they go by priority date. By withdrawing your application and subsequently re- applying, the old date will no longer apply and you may have to go by the new priority date. "Its like going to the end of the line".
But it is good that your wife's canadian immigration has been approved. From what I understand, she can apply for a visitors visa to the US and they will grant her up to 10 years visa although she can not stay longer than six months at any time.
Hope this is helpful

Yes You will have to wait. Let me tell you about my own situation. I am a LPR (G-C holder) and I filed the I-130 for my wife and it was approved by the USCIS on June 6, 2009, We are still waiting for NVC to contact her. All they say is visa # not availiable yet. Sorry, but it seems we will have to play DV for our spouses, since they get it easier than us who are already paying taxes.
