Traveling with Advance Parole

Have a question.
I have my new H1-B approved a couple of years back when I switched jobs. I did not get a chance to go back home to get the visa stamp in my passport.
I have now applied for my I-485 and I just received my approved Advance Parole.

Question: Can I travel abroad (go back home for a visit) just with the AP, even though I don't have a H1-B stamp (just have the approval only) in my passport? Would the airline cause any issues?

Appreciate the feedback.

Yes, it is as long as your application in US is pending when you come back.

You can travel with your AP only. I did have a valid h1b (not stamped in passport though) when I went to India last year since my AOS was filed.
My lawyer suggested not to even show the approved H1B copy ONLY to use it as a backup if they questioned my legal status while entering back into US or I485 got denied while I was away.

I travelled to HK, China and once again to India with same AP copy. Wish you all the BEST and travel safe!

I had my interview back in Feb this year, but the officer did not approve my case. Now I plan to use my AP to travel for a month to China, what if my case is denied when I am away, will I be denied entry of the US with a AP?
Thank you.

What interview? AOS? If your I485 was denied then your AP/ EAD both become invalid.

Or is your case Pending? If I were you I would not leave the Country till I got approval notice specially after the interview.

Yes, it was the AOS interview. It was not approved during the interview and it's been over a month. I applied and received the AP and plan to travel in most part of April. I worry if they make a decision that's not to my favorite during my travel, would I be allowed to be back in this country with the AP?
What would people do if their application is denied on GC based on marriage?
Thanks for the advise.

Okay I have a pending AOS with employer and a valid h1b expiring dec 2010.

I am waiting for PD to become current so I can apply for AOS through my husband.

Our lawyer told me that if I change job then I will be using EAD (expiring Oct 2010) which I got through my employer and abandoning my h1b.

In the meantime if my husband applies for my EAD/ AP and for some reason my AOS gets denied then I am out of status unless I prove the USCIS that I have AOS pending through Employer.

If my AOS with employer is denied than I am nowhere. He can reopen the case or whatever but I have to be in US to do that.

He has recommended I do not travel anywhere unless my AP is approved.

You better be careful. If its an emergency trip please speak to USCIS. Sometimes they are just holding up your paper work.
