How long before Advance Parole expire, can you file for renewal?
Can you travel while first AP is still valid but renewal is pending?
What will be the service fee for renewal under I485 employment based?

are you sure you cannot travel with current AP (if the expiry is before you enter back in the US) when the renewal is pending? I called up USCIS to ask the same and they stated that it's possible to travel.

EAD can be sent for renewal 180 days before expiry.
AP can be renewed only 120 days in advance.

If you have a EAD/AP combo card this creates an un-necessary burden.

In this scenario, you can't reenter with expired AP. What would you do if they stop you?

Apologize if I was not clear.

I have an AP that is valid till August but need to travel outside US for couple of weeks in May/June. I have received my notice for AP renewal. With these info, I called up USCIS (800-375-5283) and they confirmed that it should be fine to travel.

If your experience is different, please share

Here is the uscis link which has lot of faqs .

What if I already have an EAD or an Advance Parole document?
A7. If your Advance Parole document and EAD card have different expiration dates, you may only receive this card if both documents have less than 120 days of validity left, or if the EAD has less than 120 days of validity left and the Advance Parole document is for a single entry only. If you decide to file for this card by filing Forms I-765 and I-131 simultaneously, do not apply more than 120 days before your current EAD expires. The validity period for the EAD and Advance Parole card will begin on the date of the adjudication of the Forms I-765 and I-131.

Renewal EAD

If you are still eligible for employment authorization but your EAD will be expiring or has expired, you should file for a renewal EAD by submitting a new Form I-765 and filing fee (if required), unless a fee waiver is requested and approved. Generally, you should not file for a renewal EAD more than 180 days before your original EAD expires.

Do we have any official uscis link, which says AP is renewal is 120 days before of original AP Expires ?
