I entered using my AP at SFO airport yesterday. This was the second time when I was using my AP to re-enter. First agent just checked my passport & AP document and took my finger print. She asked me to go for secondary inspection. I gave my passport and AP document in secondary inspection. Officer asked me where I visited, why I visited, how long I was out of US and if I still working with my GC sponsor company. They gave my new I-94 in 20 min.
I didn't see they were troubling anyone on AP but for each person, officers were asking if they were still with sponsor company. I am not sure how does it matter if you changed your employer using AC21.

Why would they ask if we are working for the same employer. What is one supposed to answer if he has moved to a new employer and not filed AC21?
Any comments....

I also came back using AP couple of days back at san francisco airport and had exact same experience as sfo555. I work as consultant. Officer asked me why my employer is located in different state and i live in san francisco. I told him that i work as a consultant. He asked the client name and then went out for a minute and came back and stamped the AP paper.
