Hello,

May I know when you downgraded from EB2, do you have to redo your PERM?

or one PERM but two I-140s at the same time?

Thank you very much!

What is the actual processing time NSC is taking for EB3 applications ? My notice date is June 27, 2017 and there has been no update on the website. It does say though they are processing applications after this date. Any idea on the actual times ?

My employer/Lawyer, submitted the I-140 application (concurrent) to USCIS last 3/7. I know that employer/lawyer should receive the receipt but I haven't heard or receive any receipt notice from employer or lawyer. How long does usually it take to get a receipt from USCIS to employer/lawyer? It's been 20 days already. anyone? Should I ask now my employer or lawyer? The reason I am asking is that, am planning to upgrade the application to PP. Thanks.

It was the same PERM, but I believe that would depend on the advertised job.

I submitted the I-140 application regular processing on 19th Feb 2018. I didn't receive the receipt as of today by mail or text message. Last week, my lawyer mailed the copy of my I-140 application to USCIS again and inquired about my application receipt. They should respond this service request within 10 days. I hope to hear something today or next Monday.

Hey, @balukri4 - Did the USCIS responded to your service request? And have you received your application receipt? Mine, still haven't heard any news from employer nor from lawyer about my application. =(

According to this document we can call uscis - https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/...

Call Customer Service (USCIS) at: 1-800-375-5283
• If you mailed your application or petition more than 10 days ago
to a USCIS Lockbox facility, and you have not yet received
a receipt notice in the mail;
• If you mailed your application or petition more than 30 days
ago to a Service Center and you have not yet received a receipt
notice in the mail;

Hi Friends,

A doubt on i140 filing. My max out is May 2019. I thought of applying i140 in premium directly. But my employer is saying you may get query if you go for straight i140, so lets file in regular and upgrade to premium after few months.

Can anyone suggest which is the correct and apt way as of now for me? Thanks

to jaiganeshn:

No, go for PP right away.

1. What if you get RFE after say 5+ months (while you are about to upgrade to PP).

2. What if you get RFE after you upgrade to PP? You will loose time and more headache.

You never know what or when rules will change. Best to go for PP while submitting initial application or just apply in Regular and wait for at least 8 months to get a decision. Good Luck!!!

Just a quick question; lawyer/employer agreed to upgrade the I-140 to PP; what are the requirements to upgrade I-140 to PP?I've listed some but what else needed?
- i-907
- i-797 notice/receipt
- i-94
- of course $1225

Thank you in advance.
