I got response to my SR, not sure what it means. Any idea?

The status of this service request is:

On November 17, 2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

On November 22, 2017, after you inquired about your Form I-140, we sent your notice to you using the most recent address we have on file. The original notice should arrive within 45 days.

What You Can Do

Please follow any instructions on the notice, respond to the notice by the response deadline, and submit any requested information along with the original notice with your response.

By notice: Are they talking about the I-140 notice (approved, denied or RFE) or the notice of the SR?

I am very nervous.

I feel your pain. I am myself a July filer but seeing that even cases filed on late October are processed I cannot comprehend uscis's adjudication process. I think that you can raise a SR as your RD is beyond the normal processing time.
In the mean time all we can do is be patient and not let their crazy ways bog us down.

I did on Nov. 09, got a standard response through mail on Dec. 07, 2017 "We have had to perform additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently in line for processing and adjudication, ..."
So more wait, how about you, did you get any updates/raised SR?

I have not raised a SR since their online processing time states that they are processing June 1 cases as of September 30. As soon as their processing time is updated such that it is beyond my RD I will raise one. Hopefully you hear some good news soon.

I know TSC processing times postings are strange, last month (November 7th), they stated that they are processing July 15th cases and they have gone back since to June 1st.
There's not much to do than to be patient and wait.

I wanted to raise an SR but my lawyer has advised me to wait as the processing time was not so far off (last month the processing time was July 15th and I filled my application on June 13th).

He told me to be patient and that we should hear from them soon....

Now the processing time is back to June 1st, so there is nothing I can do anyway.

I hope you'll get an answer soon!!!

Yeah I saw that as rwell. Travelling back in time may be an almost impossible thing forthe rest of the world, but for USCIS it's a cakewalk. They should get a Nobel prize:)

to alexcollin:

Hi Alex,

I am also from France but living in Canada. My employer would like to either sponsor me for an EB2 or 3 but since my job isn't probably listed (what I do is quite new - in Digital marketing) under the jobs category normally used when filling out all the forms, the lawyer raised some concerns and said it could take a while for the immigration to figure out to which category I belong. Well -- don't think it's that hard to be honest but anyway.

May I ask in what field you are and if you had to face a similar issue?

Thanks!

Hi Puda,

I am in biology doing research. I assume what I do is very different from you...
Not sure I can help you with your situation..

But definitely didn't face a similar issue. Choosing which type of EB I should go for was pretty straight forward. I'm applying under EB2-NIW, different from EB2 sponsored by employer.

Best of luck with your application!

Alex

Hi Everybody,

Just an update to say that I received my I-140 approval in my mail today. The date of approval is 01/05/2018. No change on the USCIS website yet.

I hope all of you will receive an approval really soon...the wait really is killing us softly;-).

Cheers!

Alex
