I-140: as everything is e-filed, do attorneys wait for PERM hard copy or can they apply without the hard copy.
H1/ H4 extension with H4 EAD: Once, I-140 is initiated (PP), can we start drafting for extension for H1/ H4 with H4 EAD concurrent (PP). When everything is filed concurrent, what is the processing time for H4 EAD?

PERM hard copy is required to file I-140.

to heretostay:

For I140 it is better to have the PERM hard copy. My attorney told that we can file it without the hard copy also but it won't qualify for premium processing. Also, this might cause implications later on. Once the I140 is initiated they can just prepare the documents for H1/H4 EAD filing. They need to wait until the I140 approval notice arrives. They might look for a new certified LCA as well (If needed for longer extensions). Once they get the I140 approval notice and LCA they can file the H1\H4 EAD. I am not sure about how long it takes for H4 EAD mine was filed yesterday for H1 Extension (PP)\H4EAD and waiting for receipt. Will update here when I get the approval.

Is anyone facing Validation error when trying to check the status based on receipt number? Mine was filed under Premium on Feb 8th At Texas Center, but whenever i am trying to check the status, it gives me below error:

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I see that may had this issue earlier, but i donot see any solutions apart from waiting!!

Hi folks,

Can you help me with below que.

I am currently in India on vacation and I have valid stamping and I-797. Now my I-140 got approved while am in India.
Will it override my current I-94 or I-797. Do I have to go for stamping again.

to Manjunath123:

It should not, but I see few folks reporting that they do not see any update even after 15 days (in an H1 forum though). So, just wondering.
