What's wrong in trashing their country because one had bitter experiences? People here want to judge others for their opinions? Being average middle class Indian, I hate many many things about India. In fact I hate India for more reasons than the number of reasons I like it for.

Did you even see the original post?
This:
>Really good article about Indian male attitude. Hope the congressmen are not reading.

According to article she didn't really have any bitter experiences, the biggest decision of her life is based on news articles. She never even visited India after that.

My problem with this article:
This woman wanted to come to US for a better life much like any of us because it is better (much better). She tried for H1B visa once because she didn't plan ahead and didn't get one. She then went for higher education, she failed there and somehow blames it on Indians and Chinese who planned ahead and were better skilled than her. Out of options she joined the US Army to get to stay in the country. Now if you join the Army of another country but have never even tried to join your own (where you were born), there will obviously be some internal conflict. She resolved that internal conflict by blaming all of the Indians (except her parents) who would have made her life miserable, had she returned. Which to me translated in to, we (Indian Men) forced her to join the US Army to escape from us. I personally feel she should have written this article as a go getter. She was clear what she wanted and didn't rest until she got it. She didn't do anything illegal or immoral. Joining the army was a hard decision and will be for anyone.

"You are as stupid as they come." - show come class even on such a forum.
-> I'm sorry but you did appear like one. You don't know the whole discussion, just stepped in without considering other's opinion, having a naive view of your own home country.

I have worked in Bangalore for 2 years prior to coming to US (BTW I came on my company's request not because I fear for my or my family's life). There are problems there but it isn't like people are "frog in the boiling pot". - Yes it is.
-> You have very high standards for not being one. You jumped the ship though, good for you!

Now if you are going to tell me to go back because it isn't so bad, remember I never said India is better than US. Actually, US is at a different level. I don't know any other country which is better for a software professional. - Make up your mind. Either be honest with yourself or keep blabbering away.
-> Coming from someone who thinks people should show class on forums. I have made my mind, which is clear from my post. You however will always be stuck in the dilemma of either returning to your home country (which you consider uninhabitable) or being a second class citizen in a country that obviously doesn't want you.

why don't you keep your hatred to some other forums. Why do "your kind of people" bring the debate here by posting such articles. I don't see any pro-India post here, most of them are defending some stupid allegations by insecure (mostly east Indian) people. - Folks like you are the ones who are deep down insecure. You won't see pro-India post here sorry to hurt your deep patriotic feeling. 'mostly east Indian' - There you go..out with your ingrained biases and racism.
-> Go look up the definition of racism. Do you even know who are called east Indians? I'm an east Indian, you are probably one as well. Don't be so quick with name calling.

BTW - Applying I 140 doesn't mean people want to leave their country, it is for LPR. - r u an idiot? You can work here on a h1b for 6yrs go back for a year and then come back work again on h1b. I hope you understand that I140 is for GC so that we don't have to go back to India and eventually get citizenship.
-> Go back a year? I'm the idiot? Are you really saying that one should leave their job for 1 year and then come back? Do that every 6 years till they finally decide to go back to India. What happens to their kids? Every six years they study Indian curriculum and then back to American?
You are also claiming that everyone who has a GC doesn't want to go back to their country and want American citizenship? Where did you pull that data from? Quartz?
LPR allows one to work here as long as they want and travel overseas easily. You don't have to sign anywhere that says that you'd never go back to your country and will apply for citizenship. I do understand that a lot of Indians see GC only as a path to citizenship but in theory applying I 140 doesn't mean abandoning their own country. You can't assume everyone here has same intentions as yourself.

Indian's are notorious for thrashing their old country and country-men once they get GC. Most of them start behaving like they were never on H1. You will never see Indians with GC or citizen ever supporting any reform that will help indians waiting in line (very different from Mexicans).
New trend here is people waiting for GC also getting so critical of India. No one can deny that India has lot of issue so does US. At least for me, I would prefer to live in US but it's not my life goal like that girl.

I bet you love Trump's America now ..why not take birth in Somalia in your next lufe

to GChopeful2013:

Typical Indian mentality of forcing their opinions on others. Do I have any control on where I am born?

I don't like every aspect of Trump's America but I like how he is trying to tighten H1B approval process and kick folks who have been abusing the laws. Whats wrong in building wall to prevent illegals?

I bet you love Trump's America now ..you should have been born in Syria..I bet you will like it for more number of reasons !! Dumb morons like you and that girl in the article will not understand that every country including US and European nations have their drawbacks ..you don't realize that the reason you were able to come to US was because of your Indian education and your Indian passport ..try coming from a country like Ethiopia !! You are not even fit for a H1B let alone GC

to GChopeful2013:

Hey fanboy. it is very clear who is dumb. I said I hate it for more reasons than I like it for. This means I acknowledge what India did for me but doesn't mean I don't speak out bad things. Perhaps greatest thing India did for me is give me my Indian passport. Round of applause to India :D

You didn't sound like you are " speaking about bad things" ..more like hating ..if you are so cynical that you think the only thing that you got from India is your Indian passport ..why not let that go too ..go get a Pakistani passport ..let's see how far you get

The point I am not understanding in this forum is ..how are the negative aspects of India relevant in the frustrations of US immigration process .??Is there anybody from India creating hurdles ?

to GChopeful2013:

Well the main reason for EB2/2I backlog is the fact that almost no one wants to go back. For the girl mentioned in the article it is our society, for some it is security, for others it is infrastructure but apparently everyone has a reason ;)

If your comprehension skills are bad, what can I do.(I said greatest thing I got was Indian passport that doesn't mean that is the ONLY thing I got) Again you are rubbing your opinion on others. I will eventually let that go or may be I will change my mind. What do you care? I will make that decision.

Great to see the weekend Trackitt warriors take over the forum and discuss something completely nonsensical; keeping up with true trackitt Indian tradition.

Now its time for the 8 - 5 bench folks to chime in.

Glad to see Mr. "I am better than everyone here" chime in too.
What would we all do without your input!

So finally Goodlatte bill is official and it includes HR392.

I said this long way back just cause I was following conservative media which knows what Trump admin is doing.

IV is now all over the place and mostly they are bashing RHC. IV is seriously made up of A'holes. They are so condescending towards Desis. I remember them mocking desi ppl meeting Senators specially Jeff Session because we are uncouth and don't know how to talk to Senators or American Leaders.

IV will never be able to do one on one meeting with Trump who can make all the difference in current immigration debate.

RHC has very close ties to Trump and nobody can deny it. I will request people to go to DC event hosted by RHC. RHC doesn't feel ashamed of desi ppl. They are asking you to be the face of the change.

I would wait to see what the real relationship is between ITserve and the RHC. Their involvement really troubles me as to what the real agenda is.
IV is not doing itself any favors also by attacking every other group out there. They really come off as insecure people who do not want to share credit for any positive developments. They have a LOT of growing up to do.

In current world it is foolish to assume selfless service. I am just suggesting that people should go to DC. If nothing else, huge gathering will bring our issue in open and may be give RHC political capital which they will use to become insider. Remember, after getting GC and citizenship you will become voters.
