Guys,
I received an update today on the CRIS site and here is what they have to say:-
*******************************************************
Application Type: I140 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
On April 30, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.
*******************************************************
Anyone else received the same? Any idea what is this about?
Thanks!

It is something that defines your eligibility.
May be you (or your attorney) forgot to attach some vital information that was needed to justify that you belong to this category.
.....or it might simply be an error on AO's part....i.e. you would have already provided the document...they just missed or overlooked it......
just wait for the letter and then discuss the contents here.

I got the same status update this monday. Still waiting for the letter in mail. Will share when I get to know.
|
to Godfather:
I got a similar status update, but for my I-485, although my I-140 is not approved yet. This is weird. Maybe this is a system wide bug and sending out spurious e-mails.

I got the RFE letter today. They want my medical examination records. I had purposely not done this because I was not married back then and thought they wouldnt touch the I-485 until the I-140 is approved. Weird.
|
to sweenytodd:
i got same rfe with tons of question
|
Ind1299,
What kind of questions have they asked for.
|
any one with the same I140 update received any letter for initial evidence.
|
to gckimaaki:
I have the same notice when i cheked the internet, I think i will get the letter today, I'll let you know what's happening.
|
to sweenytodd:
For I-140, signitures (on LC, I-140) and original LC are the initial evidence.
|
to kansas1:
I got the letter in the mail today. It is simple RFE thats what it says in the heading.
They are asking about the ability to pay the preferred wages. I thought we sent those already.
I dont know why they are asking again.
Anyone with updates. Please share.

to aamir366:
I got an RFE on my I-485 which was sent on May 5th. RFE shows that my medical docs were not attached with my application. I have to redo the medical again. I know for sure that I did attach the medical documents. I-140 is not approved yet and no RFE on that. Weired.
|
Sarun,
I got the same RFE but I did not attach my medicals the first time around. I-140 not approved yet. No RFE on I-140. I think this is a delay tactic by USCIS.
|
to sweenytodd:
I also received the same RFIE on 1st May. My lawyer received the letter. USCIS requested that company demostrate A2P.
|
to rr08:
Update on my case
Received email on may 5 2009 about request for initial evidence.
Received letter in the main from uscis stating REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE on A2P.
Replied with all the documents on may 18. waiting on response.
any one please update.
|
to aamir366:
received email from CRIS that they have received the documents in response to the RFE and the case processing has resumed.
|
to aamir366:
Same thing was received by me and the letter stated that they wanted evidence that the company can pay the wages. I think this to make sure that the current economic conditions have not put a sponsoring company out of business or made them inable to pay prevailing wages. My lawyer said these types of inquires are very straight forward and relatively easy to tackle.

to aamir366:
aamir366,
It seems your and my case are pretty similar. I have got three SLUD since they received the RFE response. Yesterday I got SLUD on both I-485 and I-140. My PD is March 2007 so I don't know why SLUD on I-485....
|
to rr08:
Mine is EB2 which is current. I havent got any SLUD since they recieved on May 20.
all my EAD cards and AP is approved but online it still says received and pending

Hello,
From the USCIS, I received a Request for Evidence letter (asking for a copy of
Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record, to be sent within 30 days).
The problem: I lost my passport with the I-94 Form, and therefore cannot
provide a copy of Form i-94 to the USCIS.
What am I supposed to do now?
Does anyone else have this problem?
How was this situation resolved?
Thanks.
|
to Yuishiki:
@Yuishiki
I think there is a replacement form available online you can submit that to request a duplicate.
Also they sometime write the I94 number on the passport you can photocopy that page and send it to them.

I have got the same status:
Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER

But haven't received teh contents of RFE yet.. what does it mean? Is it serious?
|
to sandeep16:
Don't worry. It is just another name for RFE. I also got the same message. It was a simple A2P. Depending on what your RFE is it could be a different story...
|
to rr08:
Hello,
What is the difference between "request for initial evidence" and "request for further evidence". Do you have example of both that you could give please?
|
to hopegcgd:
@rr what happened to your case? did you get approved?
Mine got approved on June 19, 2009, Thanks GOD PD listed on the approval notice is May 29, 2007
I guess it does not matter in this case since I am EB 2 ROW which is current at this point.
DO you guys have any idea that are there visa numbers availbale for Eb2 ROW at this point?
|
to sweenytodd:
I got the same. Please share what you got in the mail. Hopefully, it will be ok.
