For all who replied in the thread about the above mentioned title-- I thank you! In my case it worked!!! I had two soft LUDs on Aug 24 & 26! Today, after 10 days from the second LUD the much awaited email from CRIS arrived! To all who are still waiting --pray and believe! God will provide! I am praying for all of you whom I have never met but were there to provide strength and will to hope! Good luck to all of you!

Thanks for the update. I have LUD's on the 27th and 28th of August so this does give me hope.

Thanks for your update and congrats. I too got two updates on 21/08/ and 22/08 on my pending case after I responded to RFE. This is in addition to the LUD after they received my response. When you got the 2 LUDs did the message change?

To all: The two LUDs which they call SOFT ones did not give any message at all! I believe, as far as my experience is concerned, after TWO soft LUDS, 10-15 days CRIS will send good news--it happened to me!

I really hope so. My wife and I got LUD's on the 27th and 28th. These were just LUDs with no online message change. I would love to think that we would be getting the GC soon.

Hey Guys...
Who ever got LUDs be very happy
1) I had 1 LUD on July 29 and thats it later
2) Luds on 3rd 4th and 5th and my card prduction was ordered on 5th
and my status was adjusted today on 6th
So guys ...just relax and wait for the magic mail...
If you are worried you can setup out of service processing time request
We submitted it in July and a reply was mailed to us on Sep1st well its Saturday according to USCIS and got the GC

There is no progress / info after 08/23 LUD. No LUDs on our I-765 and I-131 application right from the begining. Is this LUD theory is correct?

badtoad what kind of magic did you use to get this fast approval my PD 4/01 and I file my I485 on 05/28/07 but I haven’t see any LUD on my account since 7/10/07. This seems like it your case is very close to mine and I am also Pakistani. Have you done anything different please advise??

I checked it this morning. I was looking at the trend and it looked like that recipt notice around 5/24 were getting approvals in last couple of days. So I was expecting mine to approve today. |
I got an LUD this morning dated 9/4/07. Hope i get another one tomorrow (excited!).

Your might be close too. Looks like USCIS is currently approving cases with USCIS Notice Date 5/24. Your notice date might be 6/10 or close. Hopefully you would hear good news in a couple of weeks. Wish you all the best. |

I've had two LUDs on 8/9 and 8/10 and my case is still pending. I did get a chance to talk to an IO today. She told me that they do not have hours and hours of time to spend on each case, otherwise it would take years to clear backlogs. So, seeing 2 updates in a row means IO has worked on my case and no RFE issued which is good. She told me that my case is pending my I-140 approval.
Well, my labor was approved back in January 07 and was lost in mail. After 8 months, we just received the original in the mail. So, my company called today to inquire about my I-140 and IO asked us to forward the original immediately so that they can work on my I-140 since my I-485 case has already been worked on. So, I am Fedexing original labor to them this weekend and hoping to get my I-140 approval soon.
In the mean time, a coworker had his 2 LUDs from Nebraska this week. His I-140 is already approved. I will keep you guys posted.
I still believe that 2 LUDs and approval within two weeks given I-140 approved before 2 LUDs. and as IO mentioned if the case is too complicated it's forwarded to local office for interview anyways. Nebraska nor Texas will spend days on each case. I think they only spend a few hours, if that on each case and move on.
Bottomline, if my I-140 gets approved after original labor submittal, then my I-485 should be ready to be approved. I don't believe that they would work more and more on any case after 2 LUDs unless something stinks.

Does anybody know whether NC is definitely cleared if one sees multiple non-FP related 485 LUDs? Except the case where 485 approval is pending 140 approval, did anybody get 2 LUDs but no GC approval long afterwards? I too got 2 such LUDs 9/4 and 9/5. I want to understand how well the 2 LUDs can predict GC approval. Thanks and good luck to y'all.

Well I'll let you know if that works in my case 9/12 will be 2 weeks after my two LUDs. I'm with the TSC and apparently my FP and Name check is clear.

I think, a few hours per each case is a gross overestimate. An adjudicating officer is usually required to adjudicate 20-25 applications per 8-hour shift. This boils down to 19-24 minutes per application on average, from which one needs to subtract time for coffee breaks and water-cooler discussions. And this is the dominant part of application processing. Everything else (mailroom, data entry, etc.) hardly adds more than a few extra minutes. Even half an hour is probably an overestimate of an amount of time average application is actually being actively worked on (out of months or even years of waiting on a shelf).

Guys I only got one LUD and that is 09/04/07. Haven't got another one yet :-(. My PD is June 2003 and I filed my I-485 May 2, 2007. I wish I get lucky as you guys and get my GC too soon. This is becoming too depressing. :-(

But am I missing something or what is happening here. I am glad that you guys got your AOS done but in octaber VB the PD for EB3 world is AUG02. So seamonkey's case where Labor Filing Date: 14 Aug 2003 how come the 485 is complete? just trying to understand. I thought they are not going to process any 485 if the RD is not current...

"octaber VB" is only in affect after October 1st 2007. seamonkey's case was assigned a visa number before that date.

My card arrived today (9/20/07). it's good for 10 years. there is an area showing residence since 9/8/07 and expires on 9/13/07 (my card production email date). so i think they approve(or give visa numbers on the second day of two LUDs). My LUDs were 9/6 and 9/7. and my residency started on 9/8 per my green card. hope this information helps.
