How many january/february filers are actually stuck?
Any idea what percentage might be stuck?

I would say ~20-30% are yet to be approved or to receive RFE. By deducting those who filed concurrent and are to get their 140 approved in this 20-30%, my guess is about 15% applicants are unluckiest ones, in terms of merely waiting for their i485 RFE.

Mine is still pending, although my I-140 was approved on 12/07/2017. Based on the data available on this forum, ppl who filed their I-485 before March 2017 usually get either approval messages or RFE for Medical exam after 2-4 months of their NIW 140 approval dates. However, ppl who filed their 485 between March 2017 -Oct 2017 usually get their cases transferred after 1-3 months of the NIW 140 approval date.

But again, I do not think the processing time of USCIS is predictable as they always said each case is unique and independent and all they can do is to process them in the order received, which, to me, is ridiculous.

There is nothing we can do except waiting.

Received a series of text messages late night (almost midnight EST time actually). "On February 14, 2018, we approved your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXXX". My case was transfered from Texas to Nebraska around mid-April, and it finally got some movement. So, it's a good sign - Nebraska Feb cases are moving!

Probably the best Valentine's day text message I ever got, lol. Cheer up, February guys - it looks like our time has come!

The USCIS has finally answered my second SR...

Guess I should schedule new medicals....

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

By the way, "please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below." - what would that do exactly? Will this be another support request once you call that number, or will this be scheduling of the "infopass"? What does calling that number in 60 days actually do, does anyone know?

Mine is non-concurrent I-485 Receipt Date is 15-Feb -2017. I-140 approved July 2015. Not sure when my case will be picked up. Going for an EAD extension since my expiration is March 20th 2018. Anyone around the same date as of mine?

Anyone got any RFE recently?
January 2017 filers are getting some RFE, what about the February filers?

Just got the text saying our cases have been approved... 365 days on the mark... RD: 02/22/2017... I had new Medicals scheduled for tomorrow........

The 2 SRs I raised really helped... they made our cases move forward...

Good luck guys!

2 rabugento:
Congratulations! A couple of questions for you:
- when exactly should the new medicals be done and why? Do they like time out at a certain point?
- which SRs did you exactly raise? Did you just list your case as late or did you schedule an infopass?

to Georgeous:

- Medicals expire 1 year after they are received by the USCIS.
- Case taking longer than expected. But I raised them a month ago knowing it would take time for the USCIS to do their stuff...

to rabugento:

So... if USCIS received my documents (and medicals) on Feb 8, 2017, then I should be expecting an RFE, since my case is not yet approved and it's over a year, is that correct? Is it 100% chance that I will get the RFE if it's over a year?

to Georgeous:

I am not an attorney, but as far as I know, yes... you'll get a RFE for expired Medicals... talk to your attorney... if confirmed and your priority date is current, I'd then go ahead and re-do Medicals... Once again, please talk to your attorney about this...

Yes, if anything it's seemed that TSC is ahead of NSC. There are a lot of people still waiting.

Hi Guys,

I got the text message this morning that my card is being produced. It seems like the Feb files are being processed very fast these days! I had SRed about two weeks ago and I have got the typical "60 days" message. God knows if it had any effects or not but it definitely doesn't hurt! Here is my info:

NIW-Iranian
RD: 02/28/2017
SC: Texas
RFE: No
I-140 Approval: 09/01/2017

Good luck everyone
